Time for a New Direction

Hey, I'm back, again. Back and better than ever as they say on Mike and Mike in the Morning. At least I'm back, we'll figure out whether or not I'm better than ever as time goes on.

If you're new to the podcast, Welcome aboard. If you've been listening for a while and thought this was a dead podcast, well it was on life support pretty bad.

Let me tell you what happened, let me tell you where I went and then, as we go along, let me tell you where we're going.

First of all, I got busy, and I ended up pushing this podcast off to the side. That as kind of unfortunate, because I like the podcast. I like it a lot, as a matter of fact. I'm somewhat of a trainer and a teacher, it's kind of how I'm wired.

I've had a bunch of people reach out to me because of the podcast, so I'm changing up my model just a little bit so that I can actually focus on the podcast a bit more.

What I want to do is tell you where we're going with this. I've got goodness on my mind and hopefully you'll agree.

The I Help Salons world, is the podcast, the website, and the Facebook group. I'm starting up a Facebook group for stylistics.

I realized that I could help more people, not by doing their marketing for them, but by helping them do. Stylistics being the independent folks that you are, there's a lot of things that you want to do for yourself.  I can make that happen for you.

What we're going to do with the podcast is we're going to continue chatting about things that are near and dear to my heart and things that you probably need to know about. We're talking about, give me a second here, let me pull up the site so I can get this straight. Sorry about that, a little technical difficulties here. Okay, one, big thing, building a website. It's your first place online that you got to be. SEO and anything that you can do to get people to look at you online, because if they don't look at you, what's the point?

Then, turning those people who look at you into actual clients, all the different strategies that are out there. Then a couple of things that I know, I know that you're going to be into like, oh, I don't know, selling retail through your website. I've had a few clientele, a few stylistics ask me how to do that. Using social media, using video, and then, for those of you that are nice like that, how to do different strategies for Facebook and Google Ads. There's a few other things, but this kind of gives you the gist of the direction that we're going.

We're going to switch up just a little bit on how I do this podcast thing. Going forward, you'll be able to see what I'm doing on my screen for different topics. This is my way of showing you, teaching you, instructing you how to do the things that we're talking about.

There's new stuff and new strategies coming out all the time. Some things I can't just give you because of copyright requirements and things like that and licensing and blah, blah, blah. But, what I can do is create a membership site. I Help Salons, the website is turning into a bit of a membership site. There will be certain content that is only available to members. This will be on those sections of the website where I'm giving certain information that I don't have freedom to just give away.

The third leg of this new version of I Help Salons is the I Help Salons Facebook group. It's a closed group, everybody and their brother can't get into it. It's all about keeping this communication open and going so that I can get as many people to communicate back and forth and let me know what you've got going on. Right now, it' just cranking up, don't worry about trying to join it.

I Help Salons, a podcast, a membership site, and a Facebook group. In the Facebook group and in the membership site, and in the podcast, is all about helping you leverage yourself online to reach out to all those folks that really, really, really need to be sitting in your chair.

Hopefully it does you some good. All right? That's what we're doing. This is the welcome back. This is they hey, here we go. Hopefully you'll be around for the rest of it and yes, we're going to start cranking this thing out on a weekly basis, hitting it every Monday. It'll be in the feed, I'm on the West coast, so it will be in the feed, it will hit you about 9:00 if you're on the East coast. It'll definitely be in there by 6:00 for the drive out here where the ocean's on the other side. Okay, that's enough mumbling. I'll talk to you next week.
