Wander to your favorite search engine and type in "Beginners Guide to SEO." When you do, I can pretty much guarantee that the first result you'll get is from the folks at the Moz.
Try it for yourself. Go to Google, Bing, Yahoo! or even ASK.com. The results will be the same. Beginners almost have no choice but to come across the folks at Moz.
If you think about it, that's probably a good thing. It would be a little tough to take any manual on SEO seriously if it couldn't make it to the first page of the SERPs. That's not an issue with the folks at the Moz. They do good work over there.
Whenever I ask my SEO friends what's the best way to explain the basics of Search Engine Optimization to new website owners, I usually get the same answer: The Moz Beginners Guide to SEO.
Good advice to be sure, but there's just one little problem. Despite their best efforts, that ten chapter tome is a pretty tough read if you're brand new to all of this online mumbo jumbo.
Nevertheless, it's still valuable information. So I had a bright idea that I thought my listeners would appreciate. In an effort to take a little of the pain out of the process, I did a video reading of each chapter to help you muscle through the material.
When you're new to the party, SEO is such a big concept that it's hard to get your head around it.
With these readings, hopefully you'll find the concepts a little easier to get through. Enjoy.
